A FALLEN power pole, yesterday, caused the traffic on Main Street, Georgetown to come to a halt, while sparks were seen coming from the exposed live wires.

The Guyana Fire Service was first on the scene and did a great job in cordoning off the area so there was no immediate danger to persons nearby.
