THE Executive of the Guyana United Sadr Islamic Anjuman (GUSIA) and the Board of the Shaheed Boys & Girls Orphanages take the opportunity to extend to our Muslim Community and the Guyanese Nation, greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul Azha.This day, which observes the great sacrifice of the great friend of Allah – Prophet Ibrahim (AS); is a day which must fill the hearts of Mankind with great joy. The Prophet Ibrahim was a person who translated in his life, qualities that are associated with great character.

Generations of nations are preserved by his teachings. Islam recognises the superiority of the actions of this great Prophet by commanding Muslims to emulate these acts. The establishment of progressive nations and successful people are results of adherence to the guidance of great prophets as Prophet Ibrahim.

We join with Muslims throughout the world to remind all of the eminence and virtues of this great but honourable leader of mankind and to echo the feelings of love for this great Prophet of Allah and his beloved son, Ishmail.

In this age of political instability, ethnic and racial violence, greed, materialism and uncertainties, the selfless actions and willingness to sacrifice that which he loved best, still remain a vivid example of qualities in a human that allows him to tower over all others.
