DRAKE just pulled off a Kanye West on us when he changed the name of his album from “Views From The 6” to just “Views”.The name change makes a lot of sense, and is much better for marketing, so it came as no surprise.
The Young Money rapper also revealed the tracklist for the project on his Twitter page on Wednesday.
So far, we can confirm that dancehall artist Popcaan, as well as, Kanye West and Jay Z will be featured on the 20-track album. Popcaan is featured on the hot new single, “Controlla”, while “Ye” and “Hov” appeared as The Throne on “Pop Style”.
Both singles are heavily infused with dancehall music.
Perhaps this will give us an idea of the overall sound of Drizzy’s new album. The project will also feature “Hotline Bling” as a bonus track.
“Hotline Bling” is another of Drake’s singles that was heavily influenced by dancehall. That track was also one of the biggest singles on the planet last year. (urbanislandz.com)
