Dinar Trading on board 25th K&S football tournamentONE of Guyana’s fastest growing gold and diamond trading company, Dinar Trading, yesterday became the latest entity to support the March 20 – April 5 Kashif and Shanghai Football tournament.

This year marks 25 years the tournament is in existence and the contribution by the trading company dates back to three years ago with Managing Director Iqbal Hussain stating that “supporting the tournament is something we’ve grown accustomed to”.
Co-director Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major was on hand to collect the sponsor’s cheque and though the amount was not disclosed, Hussain said it was substantial.
The company, located at 1 Lamaha and Cummings Streets, is just three years old and is a usual contributor to sports. The managing director says that he sees the company’s involvement as more than just lending support but also helping to play a part in the development of the various disciplines it usually sponsors.
“I think as we try to establish ourselves, it’s important that we give back, especially to sports in Guyana and it’s something any company would do actually. We would support a lot of sporting disciplines, not just football, and we will continue to do so,” Hussain said.
