DIGICEL Guyana on Monday culminated its back-to-school drive at Kingston Secondary School by giving students there backpacks and other school supplies.

This year the cellphone giant also provided each student, new and continuing, with snacks, water bottles and lunch packs.

“We decided to pay a visit to this school today, since they are part of the same community we are a part of. We have been giving back to the community especially around Christmas and the back-to-school period, where we would go door to door and give back-to-school items to the children in the area,” said Mrs. Louanna Abrams, a Digicel representative.

Abrams, in an invited comment, mentioned that this was not the only school that will benefit from its back-to-school initiative, as they have several back-to-school distributions planned.

Meanwhile, Headmistress Ms. Rowena Seymour expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to Digicel for sharing time with the students and giving them school supplies.

For the past few weeks the company was involved in dental outreach programmes countrywide and also presented backpacks and stationery to school children.
