DDL outfits Pepsi Hornets for coming rugby season

AT a simple ceremony held at the headquarters of local beverage giant, Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL), Pepsi Hornets Rugby Football Club (RFC) received much-needed, spanking new playing outfits under the Pepsi Brand.Brand Manager Larry Wills in an invited comment stated, “Demerara Distillers Limited under its Pepsi brand is very happy to renew our long-standing partnership with the Pepsi Hornets RFC. Pepsi has been sponsoring the Hornets rugby team for over 10 years and we really like the commitment and professionalism displayed by the team.
“We will continue to give as much support as possible to the Pepsi Hornets Rugby football team in 2016 as they strive to succeed in all competitions.”
In response, captain of the Pepsi Hornets team and much decorated National player, Ryan Gonsalves, expressed his delight and heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the sponsor DDL and pledged to continue to upkeep the strong winning tradition as well as the confidence placed in the club by the sponsors.
The rugby season commences on January 23 with the opening North vs South Fifteens match as well as two ten-a-side women’s teams squaring off. The GRFU Fifteens league follows on January 30.
