A third suspect in the June 01 murder of Cane Grove rice farmer Hardat Kissoon was today charged and remanded to prison. Paul James, also known as Crack, of 59 Durban Street, Lodge was not required to plead to the charge when he appeared before Magistrate Ann McLennan.

Kissoon was travelling in a minibus when another man in the vehicle requested to get off. As the man was passing Kissoon, he pulled out a firearm and held the rice farmer at gunpoint and demanded a bag of money that he had in his possession.
A struggle ensued over the bag during which Kissoon was shot to his chest and the perpetrator escaped with the bag.
Previously, Police charged two other men with the murder – Sherwin Trotman of Lot 45 Section D, South Turkeyen and Kirk Clarke, age 30, of Georgetown.
