With the voucher, Richardson will be able to either make a part payment or purchase something of its value ($25 000) at the store.
Richardson has a perfect start to the season thus far with four goals from four matches played, leading his Pele FC side to second on the points table behind Alpha United.
Director of Marketing and Communications attached at the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), Rawle Toney, who was present at yesterday’s event, said “Richardson was the clear choice as this month’s Player-of-the-Month. His was the name that everyone mentioned when we were deciding.”
According to Toney, “The League is very competitive but he is a cut above them all so far. It’s something that anyone could debate since he (Richardson) has single-handedly carried Pele to where they are so far”
Meanwhile Marketing Manager of COURTS Pernell Cummings noted that “Mr Richardson has had some great games; every game he has played in so far, he has scored; and not only scored but scored clinically saving his team losses and I think that he deserves to be Player-of-the-Month.”
Richardson, upon collecting the voucher, said that he is humbled by the sponsorship, adding “thanks to COURTS for offering me this award, thanks to Pele for pushing me and thanks to all the persons who voted for me.”
“This means a lot to me and a lot to my club. We’ve been working hard, putting in the work and I want to dedicate this award to my teammates who are out there with me every night and if we continue doing the right things … and to our fans, thanks for the support and hope you guys continue to rally behind Pele Football Club,” Richardson pointed out.
The prolific forward will be in action this evening when Pele come up against Fruta Conquerors from 20:30hrs at the Tucville ground.
