RANKS of a police traffic patrol on Saturday stopped a group of five men who were on three CG motorcycles at Norton Street and Louisa Row, Georgetown.According to a police release, a search was carried out on the men and an unlicensed 9mm pistol with 15 rounds was found on one of them, who is a police constable stationed in ‘B’ Division (Berbice).

He has been placed under close arrest, while the other four men have been arrested and are in custody assisting with the investigations.

The motorcycles also have been seized by the police, the release concluded.
