CHINA’s Ambassador to Guyana Zhang Limin says his government will be working closely with Guyana in the areas of renewable energy generation and infrastructural development. The Ambassador made the pledge when he met with President David Granger, Minister of State Joseph Harmon, Minister of Foreign Affairs Carl Greenidge, and Minister of Governance Raphael Trotman at the Ministry of the Presidency Thursday morning.
In addition, views were exchanged on strengthening current and future cooperation between Guyana and China. In 1972, Guyana became the first English-speaking Caribbean country to recognise the People’s Republic of China, and after more than 42 years of friendship and cooperation, the bilateral relations, shared by these two countries continue to flourish.
