HUNDREDS of boys and girls are expected to assemble tomorrow at the southern end of Grove, East Bank Demerara, from where they will march to the Diamond Tarmac for a spirited rally to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Guyana, from 09:00hrs.The Diamond Tarmac is located opposite Fifth Avenue, Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara and the rally will be conducted by National Leader Ms. Margaret Smith and the National Board.
Child Evangelism Fellowship® of Guyana is a non-profitable, inter-denominational Christian organisation that is tasked with ensuring the lives of children are reached and transformed through the teachings of the Word of God in Christ Jesus.
Its purpose is to evangelise boys and girls, to disciple them, and to see them established in local churches for Christian living. CEF aims to be the premier children’s outreach ministry in Guyana, offering cutting-edge programmes and literature to complement the ministries of the local churches and to help them fulfil their biblical mandate in making disciples of all men.
The Mission of the Fellowship is realised through its functional ministries – the Party Clubs, Good News Clubs, School Ministries, Fair Evangelism, Mail Box Club, Five-Day Clubs and the Daniel Prayer Network.
The execution of the functions of these ministries is made possible by 20 full-time workers serving under the National Board and approximately 600 volunteers. These volunteers are Prayer Partners, Good News Club Teachers, Summer Missionaries, Mail Box Club Workers, Instructors, Office Helpers, National and Local Board Members.
The CEF National Leader manages all activities of the ministry and is accountable to the National Board. The National Board is the decision- making body of the Fellowship and reports to the Regional Director for the North America/Caribbean area.
