One characteristic feature of the PNC/APNU is the way womenfolk in that party conduct themselves in public.

In the context of that party, to be a strong woman, your voice has to be obnoxiously loud and laced with expletives. This is the only way you can get some attention.
You have to be a nuisance and an irritant.

This is symptomatic of the kind of women this party holds in high esteem. What took place at Linden is not the first of its kind. A certain woman did the very same thing a few weeks earlier when Minister Edghill was there. Last week’s performance is just a repeat of previous vulgarity.

Kissoon has come out with a convoluted story as to her presence there, which is tantamount to her saying that she has a right to heckle anyone anywhere and at anytime. Absolutely not!

I call on all feminist groups to condemn this “de clase” behaviour by certain women of that party. People of the ilk of Vanessa Kissoon have done much to denigrate women to the trash heap. Her behaviour leaves much to be desired, and one is forced to ask the question: Is this the best the PNC/APNU has to offer?

And if you think the women are obnoxious, wait until you see the men on display. They are horribly, hopelessly worse. In daily life, and especially at election time, we see these thugs practising their craft of thieving, looting and shooting. They target hapless citizens, holding us prisoners in our own homes with their urban guerrilla warfare.

The most distressing part of it is that the PNC makes excuses for this wanton lawlessness by calling them “freedom fighters” or “agitators.”

From naked gun-play at their congresses and other social gatherings to open assaults on innocent citizens, the list is endless. Even among their own kind, they cannot conduct themselves in a civilized manner.
Being civil or acting civil is alien to their nature.

So let us briefly compare women in the two entities – Vanessa Kissoon, Amna Ally et al to a Priya Manickchand, Africo Selman or newcomer Elizabeth Harper. As we would say in Guyanese terminology, it is like “cheese to chalk.” When you look at the PPP/C group, you will see class, decorum and women of worth. On the other hand, in the PNC group is the crudest form of lewdness and a touch of crass obstinacy.

I remember Dr Luncheon denouncing this sort of behaviour after he and a team had been viciously attacked by a horde of females from the PNC Party. Instead of joining him in condemning this “women centipede gang” as unbecoming and degrading to women, the feminist group chided Luncheon.
