A CONMAN (no address given) was yesterday sentenced to three months’ imprisonment each on two counts of fraudulent conversion after pleading guilty to both.Jermaine Sealy appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry and admitted that on February 28 at Georgetown, being solely entrusted by Jacqueline Osborne with a Samsung Galaxy cell phone valued $118,000, he fraudulently converted same to his own use and benefit.
The convict also confessed that on the same day at Georgetown, he fraudulently converted another cell phone, when it was lent to him by Stephan John.
According to the prosecution facts regarding both offences, Sealy asked the two virtual complainants for a call, and when their backs were turned, he made off with the phones.
After Sealy admitted to both offences he was slapped with three months for each offence.
