FOUR-MONTH-OLD Phillip Bratt of Sophia was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC),yesterday, soon after falling ill and reportedly becoming unconscious at the Mother’s Union Day Care on Robb Street.

The baby is said to be the only son of his mother who has been identified as Chilion Archer.
Archer, who is employed at the GPHC, told the Chronicle that her son was in very good health and wasn’t ill, so she does not know what really happened to him.
“This morning I got up and prepare my son for school. He was very strong and energetic despite he had a common cold. I don’t know exactly what could be the cause of death, a mom carrying a baby for nine months, take care of him for four months and then have to lose him, words cannot express how I’m feeling, this is my only son,” the distraught mother said.
However, when this publication visited the Day Care and asked for the headmistress/headmaster, a teacher there asked what the reason for wanting to see the HM was. She was then informed that the reason was “the baby’s death”, to which the teacher replied, “The HM was busy and could not speak with anyone at the time.”
