COLIS Amos, 21, seen here at the Georgetown Magistrates Court Wednesday, was denied bail on a charge that he attempted to rob a man in North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, on August 17, using a 9 mm pistol.Amos is one of two men who were severely beaten by residents for attempting to rob Roger Lovell. The other accused, Patrick Goodluck, 22 of North Sophia, Georgetown, was charged on Monday.

According to reports, on the date in question, one of the suspects acted as a lookout while the other made his way into Lovell’s home and woke him up by beating him with the gun. Lovell used his bed sheet to wrap the bandit’s arm and tug him towards a window.
