OLIVER Mohamed, 42, of ‘D’ Field, Sophia, East Coast Demerara sustained a gunshot injury to his neck while walking along the roadway in that community at about 17:00hrs on Friday, July 11, 2014.

The shooting occurred when Mohamed resisted an armed robber who accosted him and took away his jewellery and $300 before escaping.

Mohamed has been admitted to hospital, but police investigations are in progress.
