APNU, AFC meet on No-Confidence Motion

THE combined Opposition parties, A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) and the Alliance For Change (AFC), met Wednesday and agreed on their positions related to the AFC-led No-Confidence Motion against the Government.

In a brief statement, the AFC said: “The parties used this opportunity to concretise their position on the no-confidence motion.”
The meeting was held at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition on Hadfield Street, Georgetown.
Representing the APNU were Leader of the Opposition, Brigadier (Rtd) Mr. David Granger; Dr. Rupert Roopnarine; Ms Amna Ally; Messrs Basil Williams, Carl Greenidge, Joseph Harmon, Ronald Bulkan, and Winston Felix; and Dr. George Norton.
Representing the AFC were Messrs Khemraj Ramjattan, Moses Nagamootoo, David Patterson, Michael Carrington; and Ms. Cathy Hughes.
The Parties were expected to continue their talks yesterday.
