Five month old Randy Williams was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital Wednesday after a motor lorry collided with the stroller he was in.

According to a police report, the accident occurred at approximately 17:00 hrs at Belmont, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara. Initial investigations revealed that the driver of a motor lorry was proceeding along an access road at Belmont, when it is alleged that an eight-year-old sibling who was pushing Randy Williams in a stroller attempted to cross the road and the vehicle collided with the stroller.

The driver of the motor lorry is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
