MAGISTRATE Sherdel Isaac-Marcus, on Monday, January 13, 2020, remanded a 29-year-old man to prison on an attempted murder charge.

Godwin Giddings of Mocha appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and was not required to plead to the charge, when it was read to him.

Particulars of the charge stated that, on January 8, 2020, at Seaman Landing, Essequibo, he wounded Hendrick Jones, with intent to commit murder.

Magistrate Sherdel Isaac-Marcus remanded Giddings to prison until January 17, 2020. The matter was transferred to the Bartica Magistrates’ Court.
