MINISTER of Economic Development of Curaçao, Giselle Mc William, on Tuesday, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Karen Cummings to discuss collaboration in the areas of tourism, oil and gas industry, and trade.

Minister Mc William later met with Foreign Secretary, Carl Greenidge. They discussed deepening trade and bilateral relations between Guyana and Curaçao.

The Foreign Secretary provided an overview of the local economy and its expected growth. The Minister of Economic Development is currently in Guyana on a two-day fact finding mission to discuss trade relations and collaboration with relevant authorities and representatives from the private sector.

Guyana and the Kingdom of the Netherlands established diplomatic relations on May 15, 1970.
