Bandits rob civil engineer, wife at home

– escaped in their vehicle

TWO armed bandits robbed a 31-year-old civil engineer and his wife of Bel Air, Georgetown, of their black Nissan X-Trial, PSS 6075, cash, cellular phones, gold jewellery and a quantity of groceries on Wednesday night.

Reports indicate that the engineer arrived home in his vehicle with his wife and child after visiting a supermarket on Sheriff Street, Georgetown.

He then parked his vehicle in his yard and as they all exited the vehicle, two armed men entered their yard and confronted them.

The gunmen held the driver at gunpoint demanding that he hands over his valuables while his accomplice relieved his wife of her valuables before making good their escape in the couple’s Nissan x-trail.

The robbery was reported to the police who have since launched an investigation into the matter.
