CANU nabs GT man at Springlands with ecstasy pills

CUSTOMS Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) officers interdicted a quantity of suspected Crystal Meth and suspected Ecstasy at Golden Gloves Speed Boat Service Springlands Corentyne Berbice Friday morning December 6, 2019 at approximately 8:00 hrs.

Collis Steve Burrowes of Norton Street Georgetown has been taken into custody.

CANU in a release said that the suspect was an incoming passenger from Suriname when he was searched by a CANU Rank at the Golden Gloves Speed Boat Service and a quantity of suspected Crystal Meth and suspected Ecstasy was uncovered in clothing in a haversack he was carrying.

CANU gave the weight of suspected narcotic as 254 grams of suspected Crystal Meth and 56 grams (100) suspected Ecstasy pills.
