Disorderly miner arrested

— after airline refuses to carry unsecured corpse

A forty-six-year-old miner of Crane, West Coast Demerara was, on Saturday, arrested at the Port Kaituma airstrip for disorderly behaviour after he was refused permission to transport a corpse via a Trans Guyana Aircraft.

Passengers onboard the aircraft objected since the corpse was not secured in a body bag.
The miner, during his disorderly conduct, reportedly stood in front of the aircraft in an attempt to prevent it from moving. He was promptly detained by ranks on duty.
Police are investigating the incident.
