A woman and her male companion were rushed to the Skeldon Hospital and then transferred to the New Amsterdam Hospital where they remain in a serious condition after being stabbed by another man.

The injured are identified as Garfield Richards 48– a hire Car driver– and Vanessa Jullian 47, a waitress of Number 76 Housing Scheme.

According to information, the two were in a car parked on the Skeldon Public Road when the suspect, identified as Leonard Welcome, 53, also of Number 76 Housing Scheme, approached the vehicle. He grabbed onto the victims and began inflicting stab wounds. He subsequently made his escape. Up to press time, the police were unable to arrest him. According to information, Jullian was still married to the suspect while she was said to be in a relationship with Richards. This angered the husband who decided to take matters into his own hands.

Investigation into the incident is continuing.
