BM Soat Auto Sales has come to the rescue of young rifleman Roberto Tewari who is preparing for the 2019 edition of the West Indies FullBore Shooting championships (WIFBSC).

Roberto, an active member of the Guyana National Rifle Association (GuyanaNRA) is one of several individual members who will head to Trinidad for the 2019 edition later this year. And the company, which has supported him in the past believes that the support is necessary if athletes are to develop and hone their skills.

Managing Director Rameez Mohamed who is also the president of Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) where Roberto volunteers his time during events was more than happy to give the support.

“Roberto has been a close associate of our company for many years, always volunteering his help around motor racing and now that he has taken up a career in rifle shooting, we are basically returning the favour in the form of whatever assistance he requires and his journey continues.”

Mohamed added, “He came to us and informed us about his new barrel that he had recently acquired and asked if we would be willing to mount some new sights on this barrel for him and we were happy to oblige.”

Last year the company played a crucial part in ensuring his participation in the 150th anniversary championships of the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association held in Ottawa, Canada.

Tewari, who was thankful for the response stated, “It’s great to know that there are still corporate entities that are willing to lend their support to sportsmen and women locally.”

Tewari’s plan is to be a part of the Team Guyana who will participate in the team segment of the competition.
