Tropical storm Dorian forms in the Atlantic

ON Saturday, a newly-formed tropical depression has strengthened and it could develop into a hurricane by Tuesday.

According to the Associated Press, it is the fourth tropical storm of this year’s Atlantic hurricane season.

The U.S. National Hurricane Centre in Miami says Tropical Storm Dorian is moving west and around 17:00hrs on Saturday , the storm’s centre was located at about 725 miles east-southeast of Barbados and was moving west at 12 mph (19 kph); maximum sustained winds were clocked at 40 mph (64 kph).

According to AP, Dennis Feltgen of the hurricane centre said that it is too early to tell exactly what path the storm will take.
