PRINCIPAL Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus on Monday sentenced 57-year-old garbage collector to serve one-year imprisonment for breaking into a woman’s Princess Street, Lodge home and stealing a $6,000 gas cylinder.
Aubrey Price of Princess Street, Lodge, was arraigned at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on three break and enter with larceny charges.
Price admitted that on March 15, 2019, at Princes Street, Lodge, Georgetown, he broke into the dwelling-house of Marsha Blair and stole one gas cylinder valued at $6,000. He was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment on that charge.
The second charge alleged that between June 11, 2019, and June 12, 2019, at Princes Street, Lodge, Georgetown, he broke and entered the storage bond of Sharon Nurse and stole four cases of Banks beer bottles valued at $36,000.
The last charge alleged that, on February 15, 2019, at Princes Street, Lodge, Georgetown, he broke and entered the dwelling-house of Marsha Blair and stole a tablet valued at $40,000, two televisions valued at $216,000, a phone valued at $30,000, one laptop valued at $100,000, and a gas cylinder valued at $6,000.
Prince pleaded not guilty to the two latter charges and was remanded to prison until June 24, 2019.
