SEVERAL persons were arrested by police for theft and damage to property during a cordon and search operation on Wednesday.

The police targeted areas on the East Coast of Demerara that included the Golden Grove Market, President’s College Road, Nabaclis, and Haslington Villages.
Police also found suspected cannabis and wrappers for the narcotics.
