Come June 15 the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH) on Homestretch Avenue is set to come alive with worship, praise and a message of togetherness with over 10 local and regional gospel artistes set to perform at “The Collab Album Launch”, the celebration for the second album for gospel artiste Di Anointed Vale.

The show’s lineup features regional artistes DJ Nicholas, Jesus Rambo and Christafari out of Jamaica, and D Furnace from Trinidad; they’ll be backed by a huge line up of local singers including Kester D, Sean English, Princess Vanessa, Lion Cub, Minister Seon, Joel Black Man, and Carl Damon.

Many of the night’s performers are also artistes featured on the album. As the name suggests the album is all about collaboration, it contains some 12 songs, all of them collaborations with a number of different artistes.

The Buzz caught up with Di Anointed Vale, real name Bryan Vale, a Jamaican born naturalized Guyanese who has been living here for some time now. He shares that the launch is also extra special because it taking place on his birthday.

“It’s a combination of my birthday celebration and my album launch so it’s going to be a huge celebration,” he says.

He explained that making his second album an entirely collaborative one was a purposeful move to bring a lot of artistes together.

“The inspiration behind the title of the album and the entire movement of the album is trying to get the togetherness of the industry. This is my attempt of trying to be on one accord with my fellow artiste and musicians. Going to different places I’ve learned that a lot of people are sticking to themselves in their corner, but I believe that together we are stronger as artistes, together we are stronger as Ministers of the gospel and I want to make that known through this project called ‘The Collab’, meaning together. I want us to move as one,” Vale related.

He says he was all the more inspired to do all collaborative songs following how great he did on his first album, which was received 10 nominations and won five at the Antigua and Barbuda Gospel awards.
“Yea that was one of the drive behind this album as well because I thought if my first album could win five awards I believe that when I combine and add other people this definitely is going to be even bigger,” he says.

Launched in 2016 in St Kitts and Nevis, Vale’s first album “Blood A Jesus” won “Best Reggae Artiste of the Year”, “Best Collaboration of the Year” for his song “Worship which featured Princess Vanessa, and and International Psalmist of the Year, while in 2018 he also took “Reggae Song of the Year” for the Single “Eternal Love” and once again walked away with “International Psalmist of the Year”.

Though the first album was launched in St Kitts and Nevis, when it came to his second album he just knew he wanted to do it in the Land of Many Waters.

“I live here, so connecting with other artistes here I think it compel me to choose Guyana of all the countries to do it, and of course Guyanese are some of the most hospitable people I’ve ever met so that is also a factor as to why I chose Guyana for the launch,” he shared.

To even further drive home his aim of giving back to artistes prior to the start of the concert there will be a workshop for performers looking to learn more about life as a gospel artiste.

“The artiste will be coming in and will be doing a workshop from 10am- 12pm. The workshop gears for worshipers, musicians, aspiring artiste who want to learn more about the music and what it’s like to travel and sing, because these guys have been around for years,” he explained.

Persons interested in attending the workshop or finding out about just where you can grab a ticket for the show can call the Vale on 6538245 or 6952292. Early bird tickets for the concert are going at $2000, while it’s $2500 at the gate and $5000 for VIP.
