FOUR armed bandits robbed national basketball coach Andrew “Junior” Hercules and his family at their Lot 163, Farm, East Bank Demerara home in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

Reports indicate that the four men entered Hercules’ home through a window and woke him with a gun butt to the head and quickly tied him up as he jumped out of his sleep.
His six-year-old child slept throughout the ordeal but his wife and another relative were traumatised.

The men escaped with electronic items and cash. Hercules managed to free himself and drove to the police station where he filed a report but investigators took more than an hour to arrive at his home.
