We await the next propaganda ploy from the PPP

Dear Editor,
AS a traveller, I wish to congratulate the PPP’s top brass for hiring a top Washington U.S.- based firm to help them with their campaign activities, basically, to enhance their public relations. We live in a fascinating and fast-changing world.

Is this the same party’s leadership that openly criticises the PNC for its U.S. connections, while proclaiming the virtues of the communist system and preaching the wisdom of Russia and the USSR?

On the heels of this, $31M, we assume U.S. investment, we note allegations about the police being directed by Congress Place to charge Dr. Jagdeo; then one of their kith and kin brings a court action against GECOM to abort house-to-house registration. No one can fault the PPP over the years; they have learnt well from Dr Goebells, Adolph Hitler’s propaganda minister, whose technique was, repeat a lie, keep staining your opponent and the people will soon believe what is said.

This is the same party leadership that disregarded protocol and decency, delivered a good cussing out to the U.S. ambassador on the eve of his departure and instead of an expected apology the next day, a horrified nation had the person represented the President proudly referring to the verbal assault at the US Ambassador’s residence as a “feral blast” and the same party who consistently accused successive U.S. Governments of being partial to the PNC.

This is the same party whose top member once said ‘you can faster stop tomorrow, than you can stop communism.’ (Amen). We await the next propaganda ploy from the PPP’s top brass. Once again, congratulations to the PPP are in order, as they have caused to disappear from our minds, the hundreds of young men killed by the phantom gang, the Roger Khan campaign, the hundreds of corrupt dealings and the disregard for law and order.

Let us give jack his jacket.

Regards
Nigel Bacchus
