IN keeping g with the Guyana’s ‘green’ agenda, ANSA McAL on Monday launched a range of biodegradable products including five new brands consisting over 50 products.
Launched under the tagline “what’s new at ANSA McAL”, the company displayed the new products at a Press Conference Breakfast – Product Launch on Monday in the Sports Club of the Beterverwagting East Coast Demerara office.

Food and Consumer Goods Manager of ANSA McAL, Anjeta Hinds, said the products consist of a wide and extensive array of food items such as snacks and confectionery, coffee, flavoured milk and a new array of biodegradable paper products. She said the new biodegradable products are unmatched and the prices, unbeatable. The items, she said, are available across all paper products such as paper plates, biodegradable hot pack out of Dubai, reusable paper products and everything for party needs.

Hinds said although the company is known for its range of beverages, she assured that it also does have everything that meets the Guyanese consumers’ needs. This she noted, is done by partnering with great suppliers from across the world that supply quality products and give the utmost support. These companies, she said, ensure what is offered to Guyana is something that everyone will be willing to try.

Other products are canned sardines from a very esteemed an established company and a new line of confectionaries from the Pozuelo line of products. This line, she said, brings the best quality flavored crackers, enrobed cookies, Maria Cookies – Whole wheat, coconut cookies, butter cookies and chocolate covered wafers. These products, she noted, are provided for persons with increased taste palate, who want something a little bit different.

A new line of coffee coming from Colombia ‘Juan Valdez’, she says, brings a fabulous premium quality taste and comes in various sizes by bottle. It is also available in brewed percolators across three ranges and in decaffeinated, for those who love the taste of coffee but not too keen on the caffeine.

‘Butter Kist is the new line of biscuits, cookies and flavored milk available in 22 lines. They also come in flavors such as salt, sweet crackers and whole wheat for the health-conscious individuals. These products, she said, are sourced from a very large and reputable company in Jamaica, which mirrors other companies such as Grace, which is also one of ANSA McAL’s supply partners.

Brand Representative of ANSA McAL Trading Limited, Tiffany Aaron, said the company wants the public to be assured that what it gives is the absolute best and sourced from the most reputable supplier across the world.
