A 32-YEAR-OLD Route 41 minibus driver was, on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, released on $250,000 bail for allegedly raping a 14-year-old school girl.

Edward Emmanuel Dowridge of South Sophia, made his appearance before Principal Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and was not required to plead to the indictable charge, which was read in camera.

of charge alleged that, during the month of December 2018, at Lamaha Park, Georgetown, Dowridge engaged in sexual activity with a child under the age of 16.
Magistrate McGusty released Dowridge on $250,000 bail, and adjourned the matter until March 11, 2019.
