THE non-profitable organisation, Food for the Poor Incorporated (Inc.), will be hosting a Fun Day on Sunday, November 25 at the Queenstown Community Centre ground in Essequibo.

Among the games to be played will be a 10/10 softball competition and a seven-a-side football tournament.

Some of the participating cricket teams will be Richmond Youths, Queenstown SC, Golden Fleece, Walton Hall, Adventure SC and Sparwin.

Recently-crowned Essequibo Football Association (EFA) senior league champions, Mainstay Gold Star, are among the teams vying for supremacy, along with Charity Extreme, Henrietta United, Queenstown FC and Aurora FC.

Proceeds from the event will go towards the construction of homes and the provision of household items for those in need.

Entrance to the ground is free and the activities are expected to commence at 11:00hrs. (Elroy Stephney)
