THE Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA) recently honoured two outstanding veteran softball cricketers Mark Bobb of the USA and Vicky Ramsaywack of Georgetown.

They were rewarded at the presentation ceremony of the recently concluded ‘Guyana Softball Cup 8’. The tournament was a huge success and the Association took the opportunity to recognise the contributions of both players to the game, on and off the field.

President of GFSCA, Ramchand Ragbeer, was high in praise for the recipients and reminded the large gathering that Bobb has participated in every single softball tournament around the world from the inception in 1999 in Orlando, Florida.

That is 19 years ago. Even though he didn’t participate on the field in the 2018 edition of Guyana Softball Cup, he graced the tournament and inspired everyone with his usual sound advice and jolly antics.

Ramsaywack is the owner of Savage Masters and his team participates in every tournament run by the GFSCA.

He personally participates in tournaments in Canada, New York, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. Ramsaywack who is popular for his pony tail and dark shades is a close friend of the GFSCA.

In closing, Bobb and Ramsaywack thanked the GFSCA for recognising them and that they were pleasantly surprised. Both of them said that they love the game very much and will continue to contribute to raise the level even higher. They also wished the Association more success and pledged their continued support.
