Police on Wednesday arrested a resident of Zeelugt,East Bank Essequibo  for unlawful possession of a pistol and threatening language and behaviour.

According to reports, the lawmen acting on information received, proceeded to the suspect’s home and conducted a search during which the weapon without ammunition was found under a mattress.

The 23- year-old suspect is being processed for court.
