THREE deserving Shell customers won the Back-to-School grand prizes in Sol Guyana’s “Let Shell upgrade you with the latest technology promotion,” when the drawing was held on Friday at the Shell Regent Street Service Station, Georgetown.

The event was the culmination of a six-week long promotion showing support for education and technological advancement in Guyana.

The first-prize winner was Keith Blackman and he won a laptop, desk, chair, printer, tablet, cellular phone and Shell fuel; the second-prize winner was Collis Greaves, who won tuition fees for one year and a tablet and the third prize went to a “Brian” of Eccles Public Road, East Bank Demerara, who won a package of school uniform, back pack, shoes, books and a tablet.

Renee Armstrong-Joseph, Retail Sales Executive of Sol Guyana Inc, who made the announcement after the drawings said Sol Guyana was pleased to lend its support to Back-to-School activities.

“Our company envisages a future where all Guyanese benefit from the best available technology and an improved quality of life. We make this commitment to our customers as suppliers of Shell’s world-leading fuels and lubricants. The deserving students who will benefit from the prize drawn are also our investment in the future and we’re pleased to make this contribution of school supplies and equipment,” Armstrong-Joseph said.

The company also distributed school supplies to students after the promotion was completed.

Shell customers, who spent $3000 in Shell V-Power or Shell Fuel Save received coupons, which they completed and dropped into the boxes provided at participating stations to be eligible for prizes under the promotion that ran from July 25 to September 5, 2018.
There were also weekly draws of laptops and tablet computers for customers buying $5,000 Shell fuel.
