FOLLOWING their silver medal exploits in the U-13 Doubles category at the Caribbean Regional Table Tennis (CRTTF) Mini and Pre-Cadet Championships, Jonathan Van Lange and Kaysan Ninvalle continued their good form in the U-13 Boys’ Singles competition yesterday, by advancing from the group stage to the knock-out round (round of 16).
After play resumed in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Ninvalle who was in Group 5 along with Jamaica’s Joel Butler, Damian Mattheuuw and Dominican Republic’s Bo Ting Cheng, duly dispatched of his competition to top the group and advance to the round of 16.
Meanwhile Van Lange was in Group 4 along with John Marrero (Puerto Rico), Matthew Fung (Jamaica) and Jose Cabral (DR). He also topped his group to book his round-of-16 spot.
Also advancing for Guyana in the Boys’ U-13 competition was Krystian Sahadeo while in the U-13 Girls’ competition, Thuraia Thomas and Nkechi McRae also advanced to the knock-out stages.
They will head into action today.
