NIS inspector robbed at Agricola bus stop

AN inspector attached to the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) who resides at Diamond, East Bank Demerara (EBD), was robbed in the wee hours of Friday morning on the Agricola Public road.

Reports reveal that the 47-year-old man identified as Rudolph Primo boarded a route 42 mini-bus from the Diamond public road that was headed to Georgetown.

While the vehicle was heading north along the Eccles, EBD public road, two passengers requested to be dropped off at the Agricola Road Head, when the bus stopped, he exited to allow the two men to get off.

It was that short period when all three of the men were outside of the bus that one of the bandits choked the victim from behind, while his accomplice whipped out a gun from his pants waist and pointed it at the victim.

The bandits then proceeded to relieve the man of his Blu mobile phone and over $50,000 in cash before making good their escape on foot into Agricola.
