AN employee of local travel agency,Travelspan, was on Friday robbed of the day’s takings after locking up the North Road office where he works and was about to board the company bus.

Reports are that two masked men sneaked up on the 49-year-old employee as he was about to jump into the driver’s seat of the vehicle and asked him, “Wheh de gun deh?”
When they were satisfied he didn’t have one, at least at hand reach, one of the bandits reached into the vehicle and grabbed the money bag.

His accomplice having got what they were after, the other bandit then took his weapon and smashed it into the back of the employee’s head before they both made good their escape in two vehicles that were waiting on North Road.

The police have since visited the crime scene and retrieved CCTV footage of the area to help with their investigation.
