THREE masked bandits, armed with guns, robbed a businesswoman and her family at their Buddy’s Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara home in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday.

Reports indicate that the bandits gained entry to the concreted two-storey building by prising open the kitchen window.

They then gun-butted and tied up the family of four, right down to the seven-year-old, before demanding cash and jewellery, and having gotten what they wanted, made good their escape.

One of the family members later managed to free himself from the bondage and called the police, who visited the scene and have since launched an investigation into the incident.
