TWENTY-year-old Andrea Marslow, who is contesting for the Miss World Guyana pageant and is proudly representing the Pomeroon- Supenaam Region, said that anything is possible once you have self-confidence. This reigning Miss Moruca Indigenous Queen believes that knowledge is not limited and one can learn something new every day.

Marslow who is formerly from Region One, has entered the pageant with the intention of winning and said that she is confident that she will make her country proud. Marslow visited Region Two Monday and Tuesday and interacted with Regional Officials. She met with the Regional Executive Officer, Rupert Hopkinson where she explained her Beauty with a Purpose project and what it aims to achieve.

In the boardroom of the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) Anna Regina, she also shared her profile via powerpoint presentations with staff attached to the Regional Administration. During an interview, Marslow said she is currently a first-year University of Guyana student pursuing a Degree in Environmental Studies. She is passionate about a green and healthy environment.

The budding Marine Biologist is involved in continuous research and has thus far discovered 16 different types of fish not previously recognised. Marslow is a senior counsellor with the Camp Glow Organisation in collaboration with the Peace Corps Guyana.

This beauty with a brain enjoys reading, hiking and other outdoor activities that allow her to be connected with nature. She is, urging Guyana to support her in the upcoming pageant since she thinks she has what it takes to represent the country at the Miss World Guyana pageant.
