A South Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara man , who was arrested last Sunday at Plaisance with an unlicensed .32 Revolver, along with two live rounds, a spent shell and an improvised pistol was on Tuesday jailed for four years after he was charged with unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition.
The man , 33-year-old Rayfield Pickering , pleaded guilty to the charges when he appeared before Magistrate Alicia George at the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Court .
As regards the improvised weapon , police said that investigators are compiling a case for legal advice.
