Four armed bandits , who pried open a window on the lower flat of a house on Princess Street Werk-en- Rust, Georgetown on Wednesday morning, robbed a couple of their valuables.

Reports indicate that after the suspects  entered the building at 0630hrs and ventured to to the upper flat. Three of the men had handguns and the other a cutlass.

The occupants were then confronted by the robbers and the businessman was dealt a “broadside” to his arm. The female dentist was told to lay on the ground. The duo was then tied up.

The quartet then ransacked each room in the building and stole electronics, jewellery, cash and cell phones after spending almost 45 minutes in the house . They then fled on foot in separate directions.

The couple managed to eventually free themselves and raise an alarm and police were summoned.Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
