Goodluck’s luck runs out…gets two years jail

AKEEM Goodluck, a 27- year- old man was Thursday sentenced to two years in prison on a robbery charge.
It was alleged that on April 17, 2018 on Regent Street, P?rbati Bartram was solely entrusted to conduct business on behalf of Fazil Amid, who had entrusted $200, 000 for her to bank.

According to information given in court by the police prosecutor, when the virtual complainant was about to enter a bus on Regent Street, Goodluck pounced on her, pushed her and grabbed the hand bag with the money.
He was subsequently captured by public-spirited persons and handed over to the city police.

Goodluck pleaded guilty to the charge, but he told the court that Bartram was the accomplice and she had given him her number to set up the robbery.
He was sentenced to two years in prison by magistrate Annette Singh.
It was left up to the store owner whether or not he wanted to press charges against Bartram.
