RECENTLY-appointed FIFA Regional Director Marlon Glean will make his first visit to Guyana February 23-26, according to the Guyana Football Federation (GFF).
The Grenadian Glean will visit GFF president Wayne Forde and his executive committee, as well as the Federation’s National Training Centre and will participate in the youth development programmes.
Glean, an Attorney-at-Law by profession, will also visit two GFF-Scotiabank Academy Training Centres (ATCs) and attend one GFF-Pele Alumni Frank Watson U-15 Intra-Association tournament.
Among the highlights of the visit will be the launch of a partnership between the GFF and Guyana Beverages Inc. on Saturday at 11:00hrs, to see bi-weekly ‘Kool Kidz’ grassroots programmes being held in vulnerable communities.
Additionally, as part of their partnership with the GFF, Scotiabank will issue vouchers to select footballers who have excelled academically and are part of the Academy Training Centres.
