Justice delayed is justice denied

Dear Editor,

THE ‘Me Too’ movement started in October of last year and I was confident that it was only a matter of time before it reached Guyana.
We may be surprised about just how many women and boys were sexually molested and harassed with impunity in this dear land of Guyana.

In the sports arena there is no difference. There is a particular football coach who is known for preying on young boys. As a matter of fact, ask anyone close to football about this and the name of the coach will spring out of their mouths. This coach on numerous occasions could be heard boasting about who and who he conquered.

On the other hand, it has now been reported that several female football referees are being molested by officials.
I write this letter not to disgrace football and the efforts of the present executive of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), but rather just to ask that an investigation be done and the culprits punished.

Justice delayed is justice denied. Hopefully, other associations would take note and do the same thing.

Regards
R. Trim
