Bicycle bandits rob schoolchildren on lunch break

SEVEN South Ruimveldt Secondary School students were,during their lunch break on Friday, robbed of their cash and valuables by two gun-toting bandits on bicycles.

The students,four girls and three boys between the ages of 15 and 16, were robbed of a total of over $158,000 in cash and their cellphones while they were buying lunch around 12:15 hrs at Keisha’s, a shop on Macaw Lane, South Ruimveldt.

According to reports, the teens were held at gunpoint while the bandits carried out the robbery.
The police are currently investigating the matter.
