Student robbed of passport with US Visa

A 19-year-old student of Lamaha Park, Georgetown was robbed of his Guyana Passport with a USA visa, along with cash and other valuables on Tuesday at Kaikan Street, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown.

Reports indicate that two men, one armed with a handgun, committed the robbery at minutes to midnight when the student exited a minibus.

Investigations revealed that the victim exited a route 41 minibus and proceeded to walk along Kaikan Street. While standing at the double corner which is poorly lit, he felt an object placed on his back.

Upon turning around he saw a man pointing a firearm at him while his accomplice checked his pockets. They seized all his valuables before escaping on foot.
