A 31-YEAR-OLD labourer of Cane Grove, East Coast Demerara was on Thursday remanded to prison after being charged with trafficking in narcotics.
Leon Hussain appeared before Magistrate Wanda Fortune and pleaded not guilty and was remanded until February 16.
Reports indicate that Hussain was arrested when police acting on information, visited his home and conducted a search of his premises and found in a basket 14 grams of cocaine and 134 grams of cannabis, for the purpose of trafficking.
Police said he was also charged in 2015 for narcotics and in 2016 for wounding.
